Sex And The City (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)
Label: New Line Records
Dior, Manolo, Chanel...they mean nothing without a little love, or a little "Big." Or do they? Fergie provides the bouncy Sex theme with a touch of sax and sass, relating love to a runway and advising not to cry, just "buy a bag and get over it." Yeah, it's silly, and something Carrie Bradshaw would be shunned for if she ever wrote it, but it's got the va-va-voom factor the four vivacious ladies of Sex deserve. The rest of the soundtrack offers up big house beats, a Dreamgirls-ish power punch by Jennifer Hudson and fluffy, sweet covers of Don Henley (!) and the Bee Gees (!).
