Live In Japan '65 (Live)
Label: Parlophone Catalogue
Worth it for Nokie Edwards' completely out of hand guitar solo in "Bulldog" alone, this 1966 release finds the instrumental juggernaut pretty much on fire throughout. They smoke all their standards, throw in some fun curveballs ("Pink Panther Theme," a Brahms piece) and play everything at least two steps faster than anything on their studio albums. An excellent display of how a rhythm section and lead guitar are able to interact on a telepathic level if everyone plays fast enough and concentrates.
