Released:
Label: Geffen
This extended player was originally a U.K.-only release for DJ and tastemaker Gilles Peterson's acid-jazz imprint Talkin' Loud. It culls tracks from the group's 1993 debut, Organix, and their soon-to-be-released 1995 major-label bow, Do You Want More?!!!??!. The key track is "Worldwide (London Groove)," which hasn't appeared on any other release. It's an eight-minute roundelay between Brother ?, Black Thought, and British femcee MC Ni that's packed with lines about "sparking an L every day" and mirrors the freewheeling naiveté of the jazz-rap era.
