The Fray's fourth full-length is by no means a radical departure. "Hold My Hand," "Keep on Wanting" and "Our Last Days" all prove the band still loves their soaring, hyper-romantic anthem rock a la U2 and Coldplay. That said, the record also sports several cuts that find the Denver outfit modifying their sound to better fall in line with pop's current obsession with club music. "Love Don't Die" is spiky and propulsive, motored by an infectious bubblegum stomp. Boasting wiry rhythm guitar and Latin percussion, the DFA-inspired "Give It Away" is even more overt in its dance music panache.
