Born Too Slow
Label: Tiny E Records
Often thought of as the poor man's Chemical Brothers, the Crystal Method flout such simplistic generalities with this 2004 release. The truth is that the Method stray closer to hard rock and metal than most electronic acts like to be, and as a result they make a solidly gritty and industrial noise that sounds more like Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb than the Chems. The outcome is likely to please fans of the former rather then the latter, although Prodigy fans may find something to like here.
