Granted, the Black Eyed Peas are everywhere, shaking their big pants in your face and supplying less-than-stellar lyricism to any collaborator who'll have 'em. But if anybody deserves a hip-hop makeover and renaissance, it's Brazilian crossover king Sergio Mendes. If it takes a little will.i.am to get the kids listening to classic songs like "Mas Que Nada," so be it.
