King Of Nothing
Label: RCA RECORDS LABEL
A supergroup with ties to Three Days Grace, Finger Eleven and Staind, hard rockers Saint Asonia bring a wealth of veteran experience to the table. Their debut is front-loaded with brooding jams, including "Better Place" (dig the "Even Flow"-like guitars), "Blow Me Wide Open" and "Let Me Live My Life." On the record's second half, the group switches gears, showcasing instead their knack for acoustic-flavored ballads. "Trying to Catch up With the World" sports a smoky, Ben Harper vibe, while "Leaving Minnesota" closes things out with a melancholic tale of failed love and heartland rootlessness.
