For the past two years, from his “All the Way Turnt Up” to Big Sean’s “Marvin & Chardonnay,” Roscoe Dash’s voice has echoed across urban radio, yet he’s struggled to establish himself as a viable solo artist. The J.U.I.C.E. EP, originally planned as his debut album, indicates he still has work to do before he gets there. The ATL rapper tries on a few proven styles to see what fits, from the Drake-like erotica of “The Impossible” to party-rap collaborations with Big Sean (“Sidity”), new female rapper K’La (“I Do”) and Wale (“Into the Morning”).
