This self-titled album serves as a reintroduction to American audiences on multiple levels. It's the international re-release of Robyn's 2005 effort, which the indie music press heralded as one of that year's best albums. It also allows us to get reacquainted with an artist who had a couple of minor dance-pop hits over a decade ago. But finally, and perhaps most significantly, Robyn is reintroducing American audiences to pop sounds we already know and love, borrowing a page from everyone from Fannypack to Madonna, and, like a good Swede, doing the pop we love better than we do it ourselves.
