Best Of collections are perfect for instigating debate, and, in typical Oasis fashion, there's plenty to argue about in regards to the song choices on Stop the Clocks. Why "Talk Tonight" and "The Masterplan" were included at the expense of "All Around the World," "Hindu Times" or "Roll With It" can only be explained thusly: Noel picked the songs and sings on all the suspect ones. That said, staples such as "Wonderwall," "Rock 'N' Roll Star" and "Cigarettes & Alcohol" remind us of a time when pop anthems and sneering, swaggering rock gems -- and those who sang them -- ruled.
