Sunshine featuring Reggie Watts
Label: Glassnote Entertainment Group LLC
Turns out Flume was no fluke: Australia's electronic scene is on fire. Also on Future Classic, Flight Facilities pursue a slightly sleeker, more uptempo sound fusing late-night house with limpid electronic pop. They're assisted in their quest by a diverse lot of mostly under-the-radar singers (Emma Louise, Stee Downes, Owl Eyes, Bishop Nehru), and they show influences from Chromeo ("Sunshine," "Hold Me Down"), Air ("Waking Bliss") and Common ("Why Do You Feel"). "Stand Still" is a tropical pop highlight, and the 2012 single "Clair De Lune" sounds as sparkly and winsome as ever.
