Bloated, saccharine keyboard washes threaten to torpedo this album, but the overall song quality helps keep the venture afloat. "One Place," a rumination on yearning for home, is the album's strongest track, while Ben Watt's dance-tinged "Talk to Me Like the Sea" actually achieves the grandeur for which his rather bizarre "Boxing and Pop Music" merely strains.
