Not only does this album contain the anomalous Top-10 hit "Wicked Game" from '91 (although the album came out in '89), it also might be Chris Isaak's strongest album. It's got strong, noir-soaked imagery and plenty of reverb-soaked Surf guitar. The hushed and brushed "Blue Spanish Sky" may be his finest moment.
