Tartan and truly horrifying hair aside, the Bay City Rollers were a great pop band whose songs generally involved dancing, rocking, rolling and throwing a few assorted nonsense syllables into the chorus. They seemed to exude summertime fun effortlessly, and even the disco-inflected adult-oriented pop of their waning years is oddly listenable.
